How to disable Maven unit test?


To disable Maven unit tests, all you need to do is pass -Dmaven.test.skip=true in the command prompt. Maven executes all the tests as a default behaviour. Test execution is not required when we are working locally.

$ mvn clean package -Dmaven.test.skip=true

You can also add below lines in your Maven pom.xml to skip unit tests:

<properties>
    <maven.test.skip>true</maven.test.skip>
</properties>

And run below command as usual:

$ mvn clean package

Stream and types of Streams
A Stream is an abstraction that either produces or consumes information. There are two types of Streams and they are:

Byte Streams: Provide a convenient means for handling input and output of bytes. Byte Streams classes are defined by using two abstract classes, namely InputStream and OutputStream.

Character Streams: Provide a convenient means for handling input & output of characters. Character Streams classes are defined by using two abstract classes, namely Reader and Writer.
